La Félibrée is a celebration of the old Occitan culture and language in the Périgord. Each year it takes place during the first weekend in July in a different town in the Périgord region and attracts thousands of people. The streets are decorated with flower garlands and filled with traditional music, dance, demonstrations of local customs, crafts and cooking.

The first Félibrée was in 1903. Every year a Félibrée queen is elected. La Taulada is the traditional, Occitan meal of the occasion.
